It was a GLORIOUS day- sunny, warm, beautiful! Imagine walking around nearly in the middle of November in just our sweaters. Amazing.
She loved the zoo, then a stop at close by Mall (freaked me out that Santa was already there and has taken a day job as a train engineer!), followed by McDonald's as a treat. Mal stunned the boy behind the counter when she asked for "a hamburger and salad, please". He thought he'd heard wrong. He threw in a "my little pony" toy just b/c her supper didn't have "official" Happy meal status, but he'd seen her eyeing the display, and said she deserved it. When we sat down, Miss Mal proceeded to load her burger with the lettuce and carrot strips and eat every bit. :)
