Mali Dolittle

Our Beast gave us a scare earlier in the week. He barely moved for 36 hours, wouldn't pee, cried pitifully when he got up, and his back legs wouldn't support him.
Mal realized quickly that she couldn't ride, roll over, or otherwise lovingly "abuse" him or he might hurt more, so she took to sitting with him, lying near him, and in these pics, "reading" to him (which involves telling him the story as she remembers it :) .
It was a great relief when, just as I was calling my Dad to help me get him to the vet, he snapped totally out if it!

Well I'm glad he's better!!! So glad! It's always so scary...it's not like they can tell us what they did or what's hurting them. Kind of strange, but last week for 3-ish days, Big Gus would cry whenever he moved while he slept or got up. He was fine when he was up, but what the heck? He's right as rain now!
Hey, glad your bomb scare was just a scare and that your "bad hair" and, ahem, other things weren't on television! Ha! Seriously tho, this world is getting so darn scary!!
And, CONGRATS on your new niece! She's a beauty!!!!

How wonderful she is displaying empathy! That is a very good lifelong tool. Glad he is feeling better, poor pup!

That is very sensitive of her to sit and comfort him- Just like a mum would do. We have two dogs and they are just like having two more kiddos in the house. So tough when they start to slow or change. glad he is better

What's wrong with the Beast? Isn't it amazing how intuitive she is? Hope this doesn't happen again.

So glad your pup is okay ... so hard when our animals are suffering and we don't know what to do to help.
